Splendorous Sweetness

Denia's dessert from a cooking class. She spent most of the session taste-testing, so in the end she went with jam, something easy to prep.
The result was extremely sweet, under-marinated, and overcooked. The texture and sweetness never quite came together. But it looked creative and photographed well, so her classmates still gave it decent scores—by a slim margin.
"It tastes sweet. It looks nice. That's good enough, right? Hm? Texture and flavor? Sorry, not really following you."
